Elements and Performance Criteria
- Clarify funding approach of potential program donors
- Identify potential donors and describe their individual funding preferences and priorities, including funding provided to other organisations
- Prioritise benefits to specific target groups in relation to potential donors
- Identify most effective use of individual donor funds in the design of development and/or humanitarian assistance programs
- Interpret funding guidelines of potential donors and identify critical aspects
- Undertake advocacy activities in order to influence future donor priorities and funding guidelines and position the organisation for future funding
- Submit funding proposal
- Submit project proposal, written to donor format, to appropriate donor representative and at appropriate time, subject to donor funding cycles and other variables
- Ensure submission reflects the concepts and principles of aid effectiveness and community development
- Conduct appropriate and ongoing communication after submission of proposal, to facilitate acceptance of the proposal, including revision of proposal, where feedback indicates this is required
- Provide additional information promptly and accurately to donor representative, as required
- Negotiate, agree and fulfil contract requirements
- Negotiate with donor the project commencement and conclusion dates
- Negotiate with donor the budget and payment schedule
- Identify reporting dates and requirements
- Write and submit reports on time and to required format, where specified
- If required, renegotiate with donor the project conclusion date, with or without additional funding
- Facilitate donor visits
